We moderators are not going to allow any member on this message board to use any thread as a place to trash anyone's name or reputation, no matter who they are or what they've done. We are also not going to allow gossip or hearsay about anyone. That is why I have edited some of the posts here.
We don't know many things for sure about Katya. Some people are making some guesses about who she is and why she does some things that some people find annoying or disturbing. But none of those guesses have been proven yet.
So for the time being, please remember that it is not the job of any of the members here to discipline any other member ("She did bad, so we're going to make sure that everyone knows her list of sins, and we're going to lobby everyone to gang up against her, and we're going to shut her down", etc). If any member is upset by anything that another member does, it is that member's job to contact a moderator, so that the moderator team can decide about what kind of discipline is warranted, if any.
The moderator team has been working very hard with Katya, whenever we have the opportunity. We are also taking steps to deal with the most recent objections. It may look like we are doing nothing behind the scenes, but that is not true. We are very active on this case.
Joy

I think that the best way to respond to posts/post-ers who are rude, immature, bossy, irritating or whatever is to just IGNORE them. If everyone (meaning both "sides") did that, then none of this could go on -- there would be no fuel for the fire.

Note from Joy: I finally had to lock the thread because it seemed that the issue wasn't settling down any time soon, and it was getting pretty heated.
Some of the additional pieces that I had to edit out of some posts had comments about children needing to respect adults. I've said it before and I want to remind you again that we do not want any such comments on this board. We do not have any such distinctions between our adults and our minors, and when the adults make comments like that it sounds very much like they are lording it over the younger ones, which is not a tone that we want here. We expect all of our members, of all ages, to treat each other with politeness and respect and compassion, regardless of what their ages are.
Peace to you all,
Joy
